J220b: Development of XML Applications - 3 days
Who Should Attend:
Software engineers, systems analysts, applications programmers, computer science students, and anyone who is interested in adopting XML to program complex, interactive, intelligent web applications, services and utilities.
Prerequisites:
Some knowledge of HTML and scripting languages and a firm understanding of XML concepts.
Objectives: The XML specification defines a standard way to add markup to documents. EXtensible Markup Language allows specific markup to be created for specific data. It has the advantages of HTML without any of its limitations.
At the end of this module, the participants should be able to produce XML from various data sources. They will be able to shape XML dynamically, and use XML based services, by consuming XML data using SAX and DOM.
